Why did you choose to attend UE's PsyD program over other graduate/doctoral programs?
I enjoyed interviewing with Dr. Jordan and Dr. Powless. They both seemed genuinely interested in me as an individual and supportive of my interests and goals. Two top criteria in a doctoral program for me was the ability to study under a sports psychologist and a health psychologist, where UE’s PsyD program has opportunities to learn from both.
What advice would you share with students going through the college search for graduate/doctoral programs?
Do not be afraid to ask questions. You are making a profound investment in yourself personally, financially, academically, and professionally, so find a program that fits your needs. Find a program where you feel the faculty are supportive of you as a person and a professional in-training.
Why do you recommend UE?
I recommend UE because the campus is beautiful, and the people are genuine. The professors and people in the community want students to succeed in the program and life.
Hobbies?
I enjoy weightlifting, taking my dogs on walks or hikes, and playing Sims.
